You've probably heard about Cinque Terre. It's a chain of coloured villages on the Western Italian coastline, in the Liguria region. It includes 5 villages ('cinque' in Italian): Riomaggiore, Monterosso Al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola. The villages and the surrounding hills are part of the Cinque Terre National Park.

Accommodation: Our group stays at a hotel in La Spezia, Italy, conveniently situated near the train station, just 5 minutes from the first Cinque Terre village. All rooms are Ensuite Rooms (private bathroom in the room).

CINQUE TERRE DAY TO DAY TYPICAL SCHEDULE
We will take quick train rides (a few minutes each way) to get to the different Cinque Terre villages.
Day 1 Hotel check-in. Group and tutor meet at 6.00 PM. Dinner at a local restaurant. Let the fun begin!
Day 2 Breakfast. Demo for beginners at watercolours from 10:00 to 12:00. La Spezia garden view for other mediums. Lunch by the port in La Spezia where we will paint from 2.00 to 5.00 PM. Dinner in La Spezia.
Day 3 Breakfast. Late morning visit of Vernazza, one of the most charming Cinque Terre coastal jewels. Lunch before our first afternoon of painting (or drawing if that is your chosen medium) in Vernazza. The beautiful 13th century village is known for its history and for its wine. It is the southernmost village of the Cinque Terre chain, and has inspired many artists!
Day 4 Breakfast. Mid morning departure for some sightseeing in breathtaking Manarola (village). Then after a few minutes’ train ride to Monterosso, we will have lunch and paint there in the afternoon. Free time to shop or relax. Early dinner in Monterosso. Back to La Spezia.

Day 5 Breakfast. Free day! Our participants particularly enjoy taking a bus out to visit beautiful Lerici (optional), a colourful coastal town close to the Cinque Terre villages. Meals are not included on the free day.

Day 6 Free morning followed by lunch in La Spezia. Then we will be off to the smallest and probably most authentic Cinque Terre villa, highly colourful Riomaggiore.
Day 7 Breakfast. Later that morning, we will take a ferry to another colourful coastal town called Porto Venere where we will visit San Pietro church perched on the water (easy access). This beautiful town would far deserve to be the 6th village of the Cinque Terre, as it is undeniably as beautiful as the other 5! We will have lunch and a painting session there. Dinner at La Spezia.
Day 8 Departure day. Breakfast and goodbyes at check-out.
Mobility: If you are generally relatively fit, you can skip this part.
Test: I can walk 20 minutes and climb two flights of stairs without it being strenuous.
